COMMISSIONS BY ARRA TEXTILES
Commissioning a piece can be the perfect option when you're looking for something that's a little more personal. Projects will always have my distinctive design signature and can be as subtle, bold, contemporary or traditional as needed!
Collaborations or commissions could begin with a design in my current collection or could be an entirely new, bespoke idea.
I have a number of commissions lined up for 2021/22 but please feel free to get in touch to discuss any options regarding your project or to be added to the waiting list.
Since launching Arra Textiles in 2016 I've designed fabric for a variety of commissioned projects including wool fabric for bespoke coats, one off merino throws for special birthdays, scarves to celebrate the life of Charles Rennie Macintosh, bespoke wall art and cushions.
Each commission is unique and I love working with individuals and professionals to create a fabric or piece that fits their requirements, whether it starts with an incredibly specific set of criteria or grows from a more relaxed approach.
"Beautifully lightweight and warm for when the evenings begin to draw in"
- Bespoke Wave Throw
"I wear my scarf everyday in the winter, I just love it!"
- Bespoke Cashmere Scarf
These are just a few of the merino wool shades currently in stock at the studio.
I use a variety of yarns mainly working with merino lambswool, 45% cotton/ 55% merino wool yarn, alpaca yarn and cashmere/ geelong blend yarn. If you'd like to find out more about how commissions work and the options available contact me at email@example.com
Weaving is a time consuming and complex craft and as such can result in pieces which have a higher end price point. I want my work to be as accessible as I can make it and am delighted to be able to offer payment plans to spread out the cost for any piece over £150.
Once you have chosen a piece which you love, contact me with the following information or pop into the studio:
The name of the piece and colour-way if applicable (sometimes a screenshot can be helpful!)
The number of months you’d like to spread the cost out over (the minimum monthly payment is £100)
Your contact details
I’ll email a confirmation of the details to you then send an invoice for the first payment. As soon as the first invoice has been paid and the terms agreed to in writing a monthly invoice (payable within 7 days) will be sent until the full cost of the piece is paid. Once the cost has been paid in full (including any shipping costs) your piece will sent out, delivered to you or will be ready to be picked up from the studio!
If payments are stopped or cancelled before the piece has been paid in full for any reason, any payments already made will be non-refundable. You will be able to apply them to an alternative piece equal in value to the amount paid at that point.
If you’d like anymore information or to discuss a payment plan contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the studio.
This payment option is also available for any commissioned pieces and is interest free with no added surcharges to the cost of your chosen piece.
