Commissioning an artwork can be the perfect option when you're looking for something that is a little more personal. I specialise in handwoven landscapes and seascapes which blend traditional tapestry techniques with contemporary patterning but I’m also open to projects which are a little more abstract. Designs will always have my distinctive style and colour sense but can be as subtle, bold, contemporary or traditional as needed!
I have a number of commissions lined up over the next year but please feel free to get in touch to discuss any options regarding your project or to be added to the waiting list.
Currently, I am not creating bespoke jacquard designs but have a range of finished pieces available in the online gallery.
The majority of designs (excluding artworks) can be washed on a wool setting at 30°C then dried flat before being pressed with a steam iron.
You may find with some of the cowl scarves and straight scarves that in the first month or two of use a thread or two will come loose at the edge. This is completely normal and expected. As the scarf is used, worn and washed, it will begin to come together and felt very slightly. I usually pull a few threads back from the edge of each scarf once they are finished but from time to time an extra couple will be needed. They can be carefully pulled back and snipped at the end.
